our story
Welcome to
Fulton
The City of Fulton was incorporated as a city in 1859. As a full-service municipality, we are committed to providing essential utilities and comprehensive services to our residents, including electric, water, gas, sewer, and solid waste services.
Here in Fulton, citizens have access to numerous recreational activities. Residents can explore the recently-built Legends Rec-Plex for fitness and community events, tee off at the scenic Tanglewood Golf Course, or unwind along the tranquil paths of the Stinson Creek Walking Trail. Other family-friendly activities include the Sam and Daisy Grabb Animal Shelter and the Waterworks Splash Pad during summer months.
The city operates on a $51 million budget, which supports 160 full-time employees and 40 part-time/seasonal employees. City Hall is located in downtown Fulton with other city-owned facilities around town.
Fulton has four wards that are each represented by two City Council members. Council meetings, held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month, can be found on our YouTube channel.
