Important Winter Weather Updates: Tuesday, February 18th

Snow Removal & Road Maintenance

Our road crews will continue working to improve road conditions throughout the storm.

What to Expect:

  • Crews will prioritize major roads, high-traffic areas, steep hills, and bridges.
  • It may take several hours after snowfall ends to fully clear city-maintained streets.
  • Morning and evening commutes may be affected.

How You Can Help:

  • Avoid on-street parking if possible, especially in cul-de-sacs.
  • Stay back and give plows plenty of room to operate.
  • Shovel snow to the right of your driveway to minimize snow pushed back by plows.

Solid Waste Collection Services

Due to inclement weather, the Jefferson City Landfill is closed today, February 18th. As a result, today’s route will be collected until our trucks are full and can no longer accept additional waste. Remaining residences will be collected tomorrow, February 19th, weather permitting. Yard waste will not be collected this week.
