Celebrating 166 Years of The City of Fulton!

On March 14, 1859, the City of Fulton was officially incorporated. When a city is incorporated, it means it has been officially recognized by the state as a self-governing municipality with its own local government. Incorporation granted the city the ability to elect leaders, enact local ordinances, provide essential services like police and fire protection, collect taxes, and shape its own growth and development. Unlike unincorporated areas governed by the county or state, an incorporated city has greater control over its operations.

After 166 years, we remain dedicated to providing essential services, enhancing the quality of life for our community, and, of course, #proudlyserving our residents.
